糖心动漫vlog

Grayson Boyer always wanted to become a police officer, but it wasn鈥檛 until he came to 糖心动漫vlog that he learned he could earn a degree in Criminal Justice. Although he enrolled originally as a Food Service and Restaurant Administration major, Boyer was fascinated by what his friends in the Criminal Justice program were studying.

Now in his senior year, Boyer is continuing his Criminal Justice degree at the American College of Greece, where he鈥檚 spending the Fall 2026 semester studying abroad. Boyer received funding for his semester abroad through the 糖心动漫vlog Foundation鈥檚 Global Connectedness Fund and the U.S. Department of State鈥檚 Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship.

Why I Chose 糖心动漫vlog

I've always lived in upstate New York. I'm actually from Norwich, and it's funny because Norwich High School and Oneonta High School are rivals. So, I never thought I'd come to school here. However, when we took a tour and I got to experience the campus, I really liked it. I could actually see myself here. Once I stepped on campus, I really liked the environment and the people. Then I met some professors, and that really won me over.

Why I Chose Criminal Justice

I first came to 糖心动漫vlog as a Food Service and Restaurant Administration major, but after my freshman year, I changed to Criminal Justice because I had some friends in the major, and I was really interested in what they were studying. I always wanted to be a cop, but I never knew you could go to school and get an education before that.

My Favorite Class

I took an interrogation class last semester, and I thought it was a really good class because it gave me real experience. The professor was great, and I took it with two of my friends who were actually the reason I chose my major. It was a great class overall, and I learned a lot of information I can use in my everyday life once I become a police officer.

Best Experiences at 糖心动漫vlog

One of the best experiences I've had was during my freshman year, when I met my friends and roommates in Tobey Hall for the first time. There was this little dinner at Mills Dining Hall where you could meet everybody. I remember meeting everyone, and I knew that once I had a good, stable friend group, my time at 糖心动漫vlog was going to be really good.

Studying Abroad at the American College of Greece

The best part of being abroad has been making friends from all over the U.S. and other countries. I was nervous about coming here alone, but I've been able to meet people from 糖心动漫vlog and other institutions across the U.S., which is fantastic.

My classes are going great, and my professors are very nice and helpful. My criminal justice classes are with the same professor, so I've been able to establish a great relationship with them.

I've been to downtown Athens and have seen many historic sites. I've also been to a few Greek islands, like Naxos and Paros. However, my favorite place I've been so far has probably been the Dolomites, a mountain range in Italy, with Florence and Rome as close seconds.

The Dolomites have incredible views and a one-of-a-kind look. I got to see them with several of my roommates, whom I've gotten really close with. In Florence, I took a super fun cooking class with a bunch of people I'd just met. Rome was beautiful and a one-of-a-kind place with so much history. It's also a place I've wanted to visit for a long time.

What's Next for Me

I'm currently in the process of potentially joining the New York State Police, but I've also been looking into more local opportunities, such as the Oneonta and Norwich police departments and agencies in Chenango and Otsego counties.

I have a friend in the New York State Police who let me ride along with him and experience what a day in the life of a state trooper is like. It really surprised me to see what they do and the range of services they provide, not just where I'm from, but for the whole community. I wanted to become a state trooper because I think it's a great opportunity to prove myself as an individual and work with other people to take care of my community and the state as a whole.

Advice for New Students

Enjoy your time here, and don't stress over things that might seem important now but won't matter later. Take advantage of every opportunity because some may not come around again. The opportunities I've taken have helped me grow not only as a student, but as a person.
